|Summary||0009670: Protect rulers from templates|
|Description||It should not be possible to remove rulers/guides made in the template. A different color on rulers/guides made in the template is an idea.|
|Tags||No tags attached.|
I do not agree.
IMHO there should be only two ways to avoid guides change:
1. guides layer (holding all guides on page) can be locked (new feature - we haven’t guide layer now)
2. guide on master pages should be "locked" while working on layout page (now is not)
||Do not agree either|
btw, it's not my bug report but the split of 0002004 .
personally, i don't work with templates... but when i'm working with master pages, i'd really like to have their guides protected while i'm working on the pages.
i can think that people working with templates may want a similar feature.
or, the other way round: if i deliver a template to somebody, i don't want him to mess with the guides i've created!
but this could probably be solved with a protection at the master page's level, too
