Summary | 0001673: Image offset within frame is wrong for scaled images
Description | the images is first positioned and then scaled instead of vice versa
Steps To Reproduce | from IRC (couldn't decribe it better): <ringerc> in an image frame, import an image then go into the image tab in the properties palette <ringerc> scale the image to 50%/50% <ringerc> then set it to +100pt x, +100pt y <ringerc> note that it's only offset by 50pt on the canvas It's even wackier when scaling up. At 200%x200%, I get an 8x multiplier on the xpos and ypos. This is affected by image resolution too. A 72dpi PNG of the same pixel dimensions as a 300dpi PNG behaves differently. The 300dpi one seems to behave OK at 50%, but is totally insane at 200% (a 5pt offset becomes a 75pt offset).

I tested both 1.2.2 and 1.3.0 1.2.2 does exactly as described. 1.3 almost gets the first part right. x-pos goes to 80pt y goes to 100pt (correctly) |
|
Fixed now in 1.3.0cvs, but i'm not sure if we should apply this fix to 1.2.2 too, as it might break some older files. |
|
1.2.2 imports a 150 dpi png showing 48% scaling, when it is actually 100% scaling. I really think it is better to fix it and make a release note for possible breakage of older files. |

bumping to 1.2.3 |
|
Added notes about this in the 1.2.4 release notes with a work around. |
