Summary0011969: User-defined keyboard shortcuts with Meta key doesn't work
DescriptionFor years I have defined my own shortcuts for often used functions in Scribus with usage of Meta key (for example Meta+E - edit image, Meta+S - shortwords plugin, Meta + ' - left quotemark).
Magically since 3-4 months they stop working.
In Preferences I still can define shortcuts with Meta key (pressing it is recognized), but pressing them in Scribus has no effect.
When I define shortcut like Meta + Shift + @somechar and try to use it edit mode in text frame then result is like I press only Shift + @somechar and @somechar appears in text.

Maybe it is some conflict with support of Meta key in my Kubuntu, but if it is then why Meta key is visible when capturing pressing keys in Preferences dialog?

hi cezary... indeed, i would leave the meta key to the window manager / OS and use ctrl and alt in the application...

and, yes, there are good changes that ubuntu is capturing meta+e and meta+s for its own usage...

For me there is something in the matter.

If Scribus can capture Meta-key-based shortcut while defining in Preferences, why it can`t capture it in any other mode?
What is difference in capturing pressed keys in Preferences and in document window?
