Summary0013181: Scribus 1.5.0 crashes with "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000001d)"
DescriptionScribus 1.5.0 crashes every time with "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000001d)" error message.
Steps To ReproduceStart Scribus.exe
Additional InformationMay be problem with my old CPU - Athlon XP, because it doesn't support SSE2? But 1.4.5 work properly.

You might find you have to compile it all manually on that hardware.

Scribus 1.5.0 32-bit is compiled with Visual Studio 2010 compiler, 1.4.5 with Visual Studio 2008. The Athlon XP is indeed too old and Visual Studio 2010 will not even produce SSE code compatible with that processor. I can't give you much hope as I'll have to switch to Visual Studio 2012 or even 2013 in the next six months.

It's really sad ... I have used Scribus for several years ( on this computer ) to make my e-magazine.

Switch to Linux, then you can build it all yourself.
