Summary | 0011811: Open file dialog should remember previous typeoffile setting - or default to SLA
Description | When opening a file, a dropdown menu allows to only list files of some type (SLA, pdf, etc). Alas, this setting is not recorded by scribus, hence the user has to repeat that selection every time. Scribus should remember the previous choice of the user and use it by default everytime it is needed. In case it's not possible to do so, scribus should have a setting in the preferences to state the default choice.
Additional Information | As for now, PDF are created by default in the SLA directory. Hence directory is a mixture of SLA (=source) and PDF (= destination). By far most of the time, proposing to open the PDFs is not appropriate. So the default should be "only propose to open SLAs" A related possible improvement would be to add a "Default folder for exported PDF" preference setting, that could receive either a relative or an absolute path : './localpdfs' (or simply : 'localdpfs') or '~/allmypdfs'
