Summary | 0011858: Better image handling with imported IDML/IDMS files
Description | If an IDML/IDMS file containing images is being opened/imported, the importer currently loads the thumbnails included in the file as embedded images, which is fine. Unfortunately, the IDML spec doesn't allow for original images to be included in an IDML archive. However, it should be easier to replace the thumbnails with the original, e.g., by providing options to 1) replace a selected image with the orginal. This isn't easy at the moment, because once the option "Embed Image" has been unchecked, a file selector with no file type selection options is being opened. If I want to replace a file called "scribus_temp_idml_QW6624.tif" with "super-cool_colour_managed_high-resolution_version.png" it can become a chore. 2) select a single directory as a source for the image files in the original solution.
