Summary | 0015002: Automatic ligature use based on hyphenation patterns
Description | The automatic use of ligatures should be based on hyphenation patterns and not blindly follow sequences of letters. In our manual we used the example "cufflink", hyphenated "cuff-link", as an example for the inappropriateness of the ffl ligature. The same could be said of German "Af-fe" (hyphenation indicated) versus "schlaff".
