|Summary||0015377: Need a way to generate automatically linked text frames AFTER you create a document|
|Description||When you create a document from scratch, you are able to select to have texted frames automatically linked. Woe to you if you don't click this option because you cannot do so after you create a document and must link text frames manually. This can consume eons of time if you are working a a graphic novel that requires many text frames.|
|Steps To Reproduce||Don't select Automatically Linked Text Frames when creating a document.|
"This can consume eons of time if you are working a a graphic novel that requires many text frames."
You use Insert -- Sticky Tools function before linking, or select all text frames and click Link Text Frames icon (Item -- Text Frame Links -- Link Text Frames).
||This in in Insert->Frame, at least in 1.5.x|
the problem here, is that the automatic linked frames are "wrongly" implemented.
basically, it would be more useful to remove the setting from the "new document" dialog and allow to enable / disable it further on in the document settings.
but, all in all, there are a few "hacks" in the code to allow the automatic linking to work and i would wish the feature to be removed.
and focus on improving the generation of chains of linked text.
(which is indeed already partially done with the improvements in the multiple duplicate by page.)
