Summary | 0016372: Image frame -> new property "embed image"
Description | When you draw an image frame on the page, it would be a great enhancement if there was an image property to "embed image". This way when you "get image" it will use the property from the image frame a default, so that you dont have to do this manually every time.

Embedding images in scribus files is generally not advised: embedded images increase memory requirements when loading files and can make repairing file impossible if some bad things happen. So doing this systematically is really asking for problems. |

understood. generally most of our image frames are not "embedded" images. However, we do have areas on our scribus pages that we need to make sure users dont forget to "embed" images. (all our users work from pre-made templates). I thought it would be a good compromise to be able to set it on the image frame level and not a scribus doc level. I noticed in another issue, the ability to embed images via. scripter is being submitted for review. having this capability via. scripter would also solve a lot of problems. |
