Summary | 0017089: Default to Scale Image To Frame Size
Description | Currently when opening an image file in an image frame, commonly you'd only see the top right corner of the opening image, possibly leading to some confusion about what just happened. Scribus has a global setting, that makes it behave more like the vast major of software in these kinds of situations (as in, the image is scaled to the frame by default): https://github.com/scribusproject/scribus/blob/Version15x/scribus/prefsmanager.cpp#L295 appPrefs.itemToolPrefs.imageScaleType = false; Therefore I hope you'd consider making this the new default to 1.6.0
