Summary | 0017370: (New) concept for the context menu
Description | Currently, Scribus has a bunch of "useful" actions in submenus of the context menu. This has been done during the big reorganization of the menus, where lot of items have been moved to submenus. The reason for it, was the menus were too long. The result is that, now, the Scribus context menu is in a strange middle way between what Gimp does (all actions are in the context menu) and Inkscape (which only has a few commands in there). My proposal is to avoid sub menus in the context menu, except for actions like "Send to layer" or "Send to scrapbook". The context menu should be (again) a "fast" way to trigger actions that are otherwise more cumbersome. (Currently, it looks like it's the most cumbersome way to achieve any of the actions it contains) Adding some icons would not hurt either, for getting the eye to the right spot
