Summary | 0017412: nodes editor: cutting and combining nodes
Description | it's possible to combine two paths by joining them (with a dialog that is hard to understand) with a line. but if you have two paths alreaedy combined in a path (or if you have cut a path), there is no way to join the extreme nodes anymore. i think that it would be better to remove "item > path tools > connect paths" and provide a way to join two "extreme" nodes from two "sub paths". then one first needs to combine two paths and afterwards join the extremes: one more step, but much more straightforward to execute. (no need to add the option to join by moving one of the point, since it's the same as joining with a straight line and then deleting one of the two nodes) with this we could create a group of two buttons: cut, join (where join can replace the "close button", since closing is the same as joining the two extremes of the same path).
