| Summary | 0017672: When drop downs are open, one does not see what is the current value | ||||
| Description | - When opening a drop down list, (mostly) the currently value is highlighted (if your hand / mouse is stable enough...) - But as soon as the mouse moves, there is no way to know what is the current value (if the drop down covers the box in the UI) This is of course something that happens with every input field: if you start typing in a input text box, you lose the origin value...), but: - for drop down you lose the current value just by moving your mouse, while for a text input box you need to start typing - in an text input box, the value slightly changes and it might be easy to go back to the original value; for a drop down, depending on where the mouse and the selected items are, the change is often brutal and there is often no gradual change. I wonder if we could find a good (and nice...) way to show what is the current value, on top of the "future" one. | ||||
