Summary0012321: Inserting a svg graphics on a master page messes up things
Descriptionin the first document (tst.sla), I created three pages 850x2000mm, added another layer (foreground) inserted red and blue shapes on the master page in layer foreground, and applied the master page to all pages.
So far so good.
All I changed in the second document was to insert a svg graphic on the master page in the foreground layer, saved as tst-1.sla, closed and reopened.
Result: the svg graphic is split, parts are on the master layer, parts are only on page 1
Steps To Reproducecreated three pages 850x2000mm,
add another layer (foreground)
insert red and blue shapes on the master page in layer foreground,
apply the master page to all pages.
Save, close, reopen - all is well.

insert a svg graphic on the master page in the foreground layer
save, close and reopen

You probably use scribus 1.4 ?
It looks OK with 1.5, since svg looks the same in SLA and in inkscape.

No, it's in scribus 1.5.0svn version C-C-T-F-C1.13.1 64 bit under Kubuntu 14.04.
Did you compare tst.sla and tst-1.sla? Because the only thing I changed from tst.sla to tst-1.sla was inserting the svg.
If on your computer both files look the same (except the inserted svg of course), then the problem probably is with my computer.

Inserting the svg was no problem, it looked the same as in inkscape. But after saving and reopening the problem appeared.

I cannot reproduce issue in current build. Your issue looks like 0012313 I fixed a few days ago. Please update and try again.

I'll try as soon as it is in the scribus repo for ubuntu.

Hm, the last version that built successfully on launchpad was from April 22nd... Since then, builds seem to fail.
