Summary0013632: UI language switch isn't recorded properly and reverts to system settings
DescriptionA change of the UI language doesn't survive a restart, as Scribus always switches back to the system settings.
Steps To Reproduce1) Start Scribus with the default language.

2) Switch the UI language in the Prefs. Now the UI language changes.

3) Close Scribus and restart --> It's back to the system settings.
Additional InformationDeleting the ./scribus directory doesn't help.

More info on the issue:

Steps to reproduce (Scribus 1.5.1 launches with German here):

1) I changed the UI language to Dutch --> UI language switched immediately.

2) I closed Scribus and restarted it --> The UI language was German again, even though the Prefs settings indicated the current UI language was Dutch (in German!).

3) I changed another setting in the Prefs (in this case: enabled tabbed display of open documents) et voilĂ : UI is in Dutch.

4) Then I switched the UI language again to French. Same as above, and again it required a change to another option for the switch to take effect.

Unable to reproduce. I can switch languages, close, reopen multiple times to different languages without issue.

Don't forget your LANG, LC_ALL, LC_MESSAGES settings will also influence this.

Sure, I know this, but nothing has changed in this regard since I set up the system. It also did work until recently, and I haven't updated my Qt version (5.4.0). So something must have happened in the Scribus code. Also, Laser has confirmed my observation.
