Summary0013882: undesirable lines at imported images
DescriptionCloned from 0012611 but only including the remaining issue:

when I produce a pdf from my Scribus document, some images have black
and grey lines at them, which cannot be found in the original image
files nor come from frame settings.

I discovered some of the lines (image 1) disappear, when I remove the
alpha channel in the image file

Furthermore the effect seems to be stronger when I limit image
resolution at exporting to pdf or use high jpeg compression.
Steps To Reproducelimit resolution of images, when producing pdf

leave alpha channel in png images
Additional InformationJghali writes

the issue visible on first page, I'm not sure what we can do about it, and if we can do anything :
- it appears in areas where imported image is only partially transparent. Those areas are thin but easily detectable in Photoshop.
- Adobe Photoshop does not show those line when rendering exported PDF.
- in latest Acrobat Reader, the visibility of those lines depends essentially on zoom factor.
So this looks more like a rendering artefact. In any case Scribus canvas shows correctly there might be some issue as those lines can be seen directly on canvas.

Deprecating issue to minor as the most important issue is already fixed and preview in Acrobat Reader conforms to what canvas shows.
