Summary0014373: Add Google fonts to the font download repo
DescriptionGoogle provides a huge collection of high quality fonts under three different Open Source lincences (https://github.com/google/fonts). A static package is available for download under https://github.com/google/fonts/archive/master.zip

These fonts have been designed by professional typographers, and might significantly expand Scribus's appeal if we could integrate them into the programme's Resource Management.

InDesign CC is totally embedded in a cloud "solution" that "allows" users to "rent" fonts from Adobe for a fee and only as long as they pay subscription fees to Adobe. Providing Google fonts for free would help making Scribus more attractive.

Per https://github.com/google/fonts#licensing
Licensing

It is important to always read the license for every font that you use. Each font family directory contains the appropriate license file for the fonts in that directory. The fonts files themselves also contain licensing and authorship metadata.

Most of the fonts in the collection use the SIL Open Font License, v1.1. Some fonts use the Apache 2 license. The Ubuntu fonts use the Ubuntu Font License v1.0.

The SIL Open Font License has an option for copyright holders to include a Reserved Font Name requirement, and this option is used with some of the fonts. If you modify those fonts, please take care of this important detail.

@cbradney are you planning to add this before 1.5.3 release ?

This need not be part of 1.5.3. Any later release before 1.6.0 will be fine.

As to the licences, this has been quite obvious, hasn't it? I don't see any problem with it. We only need an appropriate XML file for the download service. No big deal.
