Summary0015879: Indigo UI: Add a page / document pane to the Content Palette
DescriptionWhen no item is selected, the Content Palette should not be left empty.

We could use it to provide page or document values.
Or buttons that trigger actions that are only (or mostly) useful when no item is selected.

What should be in there?

craig suggest to show the text pane in disabled state.
or to add a text that suggest that there will be content as soon as an item is clicked.

The text page would be my choice as a minimum functionality. If we can use it for something else, eg like a page content tab, then would be better

Proposal:

ale, it would be great to see it on the panel the full content of "Manage Page Properties" and a button for Guides and the Snap to Item, Guides, Grid.

There is now a patch that adds a page pane (0015910).

For now it only contains a text that tells the user to click on an item...
