Summary0009245: Scribus should handle overprint when performing PS separations
DescriptionOverprint displayed as expected in preview, but in resulting PS file all black elements do knockout.

See attached files: sla and PS for magenta.
Tested with 1.3.8 and 1.5.0 in Ubuntu and with 1.3.7 in WinXP.

Per jghali: Overprint works, we just cannot handle overprint when performing ps separations currently. Non separated ps files are ok.

Hello! Can anybody confirm this bug (which is stopper for color print production though I marked severity as minor)? Or I have to fix something in my systems?

In my work, this is a seriuos problem do to the very reason overprinting is used is in offset printing where it is all about generating separations that will allow you to achieve result that yes in full cmyk is possible. But even in cmyk often a spot color is added, and the only way to get that cmyk + spot is through separations. If there is a way to get overprinting working in separation soon that would be great.

Still the case in Scribus 1.4.3.
Without correct separations it's impossible to doublecheck whether the produced PDF can be expected to be okay or not.
