Summary0009613: Convert to outlines - include frame decoration
DescriptionWhen user converts text frame to outline he loses frame decoration (border, fill). Since conversion applied to frame (not to text) it is expectable that all frames elements should appear in resulting object.
This could be an option - convert only text content or entire frame.

imo, making it an option would make it more complicated than just letting the user delete what she does not want (a shape defining the background and the border).

you can already achieve what you want, by creating two copies of the text frame and converting the one to shape and the other to outlines: for the sake of simplicity, i wonder if the current state is not enough... (even if see that you have an interesting use case, i must admit that i've never needed to keep anyhting else than the glyphs when converting a text to outlines).

About options - yes, "keep Scribus as simple as possible".
Creating copies - that was what I did before posting this issue, but why user have to do additional clicks and movement for aligning text and frame again? Imagine that you had dozens of such frames. Moreover, there is logic - FRAME is converted to outlines, not text! So why should we loose elements of frame?
About needs for such conversion. In Russia printshops often demand files with text converted to real outlines, not to type 3 font. So that feature is very helpful for portability.
