Summary0010057: Please add the support for zeitgeist event logging
DescriptionZeitgeist is an innovative technology which is an event logging framework. It logs the events like file open, file close, chat started, network disconnected or any kind of event which concerns the user. This logging also helps in searching while opening any file.

If there is a zeitgeist plugin for scribus, it can send the following events
* Open file
* Close file
* New file created
* File deleted
* File saved

and more which the developers feel are useful for users.

In this way the user does not need to care about where they stored their files as they can use tools like Unity Dash or GNOME-Do or Synapse to search for their files and open it. Those tools will open the scribus files with scribus
Additional InformationZeitgeist website: http://zeitgeist-project.com
The current integration state: http://zeitgeist-project.com/experience/

Right now there are many datasources available for many applications like vim, emacs, gedit, geany, tomboy, banshee etc etc. It would be great if scribus too joins the party :)

1.5 SLA files now appear in the unity launch proposals window (i dont know the correct names for this, whether its dash or zeitgeist or whatever) so i wonder whether its what this request requests. I upload screenshot.

This is a very handy way to open docs.

But see other screenshot : the menu appearing on click right on the launcher's icons does not provide any last-opened-files's link.

This would add a pile of new dependencies (Vala, DBus and SQLite), it doesn't work across platforms and also raises privacy concerns.

IMHO this is too high a price to pay for little gain. If you want to implement it yourself as a compile-time option, feel free to go ahead, but there are many much more important issues to resolve in the near future.

In addition, this is Gnome only. We support Linux, Windows, OS/2 and OSX. Cross platform support is very important for us and our users.
