Product Version | 1.5.3.svn
Fixed in Version | 1.5.3.svn
Summary | 0014311: incorrect display of inline items when offset to baseline applied
Description | if you put a vector drawing in a text frame as an inline item and offset it vertically: - in 1.4 the part below the baseline is not rendered once exported to PDF - in 1.5 the offset is not displayed consistently between 1.5.1 and 1.5.2+ on top of it, opening the 1.4 file in 1.5 crashes 1.5.

... this would be somehow urgent... i have to recreate an indesign template and i need to place the logo as vectors in the text... |
if it does not work, i will have to look for a workaround... |
Wondering if this is not display which is the issue here. Opening the 1.5.x doc with 1.5.1 shows same result as PDF export. The crash when opening the 1.4.x doc is caused by nice stack overflow. |
good catch. i can confirm that it it works in 1.5.1 but not in 1.5.2 (nor 1.5.3) ok, then i can finish my document and tell her to use 1.5.1... i've spent a few hours in getting the logo as a font but i did not succeed :-( i have to learn about that, too... one day... |
The display inconsistency between 1.5.1 and 1.5.2+ is now fixed. The PDF output should now match display (or vice versa). |
I created a specific issue for the stack overflow which is triggered when opening the 1.4.x doc with trunk. |
ok... now there is only the 1.4 issue that is still open... and this is the one that bothers me most... since i wanted to deliver the template for 1.4 fixable or not? (i'm fine with "not"...) |
looks correct in 1.5.3! thanks! |
Not sure if 1.4.x can be fixed, I'll have to look closer. However iirc 1.4.x will have trouble with groups used as inline objects due to how group are implemented in 1.4.x. |
The 1.4.x issue could be fixed in this specific case. As the 1.4.x issue was different from 1.5.x, I splitted it to issue 0014328. |
