Description | As per the summary. It's impossible to change table or cell borders. The UI indicates the changes, but it doesn't change anything on canvas. | ||||

imo, the table tool is broken beyond repair. and probably needs a reboot. the UI is not intuitive at all. the code behind it might or not do what one thinks. we don't know. personally, i can finally add and remove lines and setup the table as i want (if i wanted it...). but i cannot find any rational link between a click and the result coming out of it. we need somebody sitting down and write down a specification for it. a few use cases and documentation included. and, then, somebody (does not have to be a different person) going through the code and make sure that the code behaves accordingly to the specifications. probably, the changes are not huge, but i fear that just fixing things will not lead to a good tool. "restarting" the project (without removing the code, just remixing it) looks like a better option to me. |
