|Summary||0016117: Assigning keyboard shortcuts for paragraph and charactert styles|
|Description||It is better if Scribus have the option to assign keyboard shortcuts to Paragraph Styles and Character Styles|
|Tags||No tags attached.|
being able to apply styles by typing their names is probably a better option...
This plugin is a good one. I appreciate it.
But I would also like to assign some shortcut key combination for styles which are used mostly. So it would be easy to apply them
i've used both shortcuts and this plugin for applying styles and this plugin is much better.
believe me : - )
- shortcuts for styles are harder to setup
- you have to recall many shortcuts
- mostly, you cannot use the best shortcuts for styles, since they're already in use for other things.
ctrl-space d enter is just as fast ctrl-alt-d (if you want to use clrl-alt-d for applying the default style)
(you don't have to type the full name, just a letter that occurs only in that style...)
now, if there was a way to get the team to discuss and review this plugin and the whole infrastructure behind it...
p.s.. of course, both can theoretically coexist, but is it really worth the effort to create and maintain two different ways of achieving the same goal? when they are so close to each other and one is faster and much more flexible than the other?
