Product Version | 1.5.6 | ||||
Summary | 0016448: PDF can not be printed
Description | My Scribus version is 1.5.5 which does not appear as an option on the Product Version. I'm currently exporting a project with embedded fonts and PNG images to PDF, 16 pages, and the resulting file simply will not print in my Brother MFC J6530DW printer. Also, when printing directly from Scribus, the same error occurs. Either the printer says "processing job" or simply doesn't receive/recognize the file. I'm trying to print the pages in 2-sided printing duplex tumble. With past versions of Scribus, such problems didn't occur. What is happening? Is there any solution for this problem? Thank you.
Additional Information | My OS is Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS, 64-bits and the PDF reader I'm using is Document Viewer.

We cannot help if we do not get a hand on the complete document with images, fonts, etc... >> Either the printer says "processing job" or simply doesn't receive/recognize the file. Your printer model has no native support for PostScript or PDF, only an emulation. On Linux it's cups and your printer driver which are responsible for transforming the PostScript or PDF file to a language understandable by your printer. Scribus is not involved here and we cannot debug what happens during that process. |

I'm sorry, but the file is to be published. I cannot open it to you. I was remiss in my report: when printing the PDF file the printer says "processing job", when printing directly from Scribus, it does not receive/recognize the file. Like I said, it didn't happen before with other versions and the same printer. I am aware my printer model does not have native support. Perhaps I should just go back to the previous stable version. Thank you for your answer. Cheers! :) |

Sorry, but as I've said, without having a hand on the files, we cannot provide any help. |
