Summary | 0016520: "Error: /undefined in GS_PDF_ProcSet" when importing a PDF
Description | When importing a PDF, the following error appears on the command line (from which I've launched scribus): PostScript import failed when calling gs as: -q -dNOPAUSE -dNODISPLAY -dBATCH -dDELAYBIND -g2381x3368 -r288 -dTextAlphaBits=4 -dGraphicsAlphaBits=4 -c 0 0 translate -sTraceFile=/home/turion/.scribus//ps.out -sExportFiles=*** /nix/store/42igv4wq4bavyf4h14rcb5v54gk4sjsx-scribus-1.4.8/lib/scribus/import.prolog *** -c flush cfile closefile quit Ghostscript diagnostics: GPL Ghostscript 9.53.3: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1 ant Ghostscript to execute in a safer environment, but at the same time have selected DELAYBIND. Unless you use this option with care (and specifically, remember to call .bindnow) it is possible that malicious code may be able to evade the limited security offered by the SAFER option. The corresponding Ghostscript bug is here: https://bugs.ghostscript.com/show_bug.cgi?id=703706 This issue seems fixed in 1.5.6. I'm only reporting for completeness, in case others will run into the same bug (since this version is still packaged, e.g. in NixOS).

Duplicate of issue 0015695. We are already aware of this. However due to the amount of changes required, there is no plan to fix it in 1.4.x versions (and it is already fixed in 1.5.x branch). And importing PDFs outside image frames with Scribus 1.4.x is a bad idea anyway... |
