DescriptionWhen importing a PDF, the following error appears on the command line (from which I've launched scribus):

PostScript import failed when calling gs as:
-q -dNOPAUSE -dNODISPLAY -dBATCH -dDELAYBIND -g2381x3368 -r288 -dTextAlphaBits=4 -dGraphicsAlphaBits=4 -c 0 0 translate -sTraceFile=/home/turion/.scribus//ps.out -sExportFiles=*** /nix/store/42igv4wq4bavyf4h14rcb5v54gk4sjsx-scribus-1.4.8/lib/scribus/import.prolog *** -c flush cfile closefile quit

Ghostscript diagnostics:

I've replaced the file names. The corresponding Ghostscript bug is here: https://bugs.ghostscript.com/show_bug.cgi?id=703706

This issue seems fixed in 1.5.6. I'm only reporting for completeness, in case others will run into the same bug (since this version is still packaged, e.g. in NixOS).

Duplicate of issue 0015695.

We are already aware of this. However due to the amount of changes required, there is no plan to fix it in 1.4.x versions (and it is already fixed in 1.5.x branch). And importing PDFs outside image frames with Scribus 1.4.x is a bad idea anyway...
