|Fixed in Version||1.5.9.svn|
|Summary||0016901: Provide the information about the page number being "shown"|
|Description||there is now a getPageNumber() function that provides the zero indexed number of the page.|
we could also need a way to retrieve the "real" number of the page, the one that is used by "insert > page number".
this could be done by:
- modifying the getPageNumber() function (it's probably not really in use yet... on the other side i can think that there are cases, where one would want to know the page index of a specific frame)
- adding a new api function (i wonder how we can call it...)
- providing access (read / write) to the section information (getSections(), getSection(index=None), getCurrentSection())
|Tags||No tags attached.|
currentPageNumber() exists though note it add 1 to start from 1.
I have added currentPageNumberForSection(). Does that meet the need?
yep, that's useful : - )
the name is a bit cryptic, sadly it's currentPageNumber that should have been named currentPageIndex a few years ago...
(well, i really wonder if there are people using those functions and renaming them in 1.7 might be a good idea...)
