@medmedin2014 is it only for Scribus like this or also for other Qt applications, like Krita? Please, could you add information about your graphics card too?

@nitramr I'm using KDE Plasma, so all Qt apps like Kate, Dolphin, Krita run fast. Scribus being slow happened both on i3-5005U and i3-1005g1, after upgrading both my laptops to latest:

Operating System: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.6
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.108.0
Qt Version: 5.15.10
Kernel Version: 6.4.5-1-MANJARO (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Mesa: 23.1.4

It seems that performance is now quite okay and not slow like how it used. I really don't know which package was the culprit.

According to Archlinux package changes, it seems the only modification was a rebuild against latest poppler v23.07.0

I run Scribus on Ubuntu (Wayland) and have no performance issues. My poppler version is 22.12.0.

I think we can close this ticket because it seems not present anymore in a newer Scribus version.
