Summary | 0017532: PDF forms and default values
Description | I have recently started using Scribus to try to create PDF forms. It's pretty straightforward, but I can't find where one can set a default value for a simple PDF text field. There are references that seem to indicate this can be done, but I can't find specifics. Surely there must be a way to set a default value in a form? Scribus 1.6.4 on Ubuntu Linux 24.04.

as far i can tell, this is normally achieved with javascript... you can also try to type some text in the text field and see if it's used as the default value (from what i read in some scribus docs it might be that way; to get into edit mode: select the field on the canvas and press the "e" key) |

Surprise! That worked! Thank you. |
