a _very_ reasonable request. Classical checkboxes for all columns would improve the usability. |
Yep, see 2276. |
Reminder sent to: subik Subik, please replace sexy icons with normal checkboxes in your dialog :) Its more obvious theres something to do when seeing the empty checkbox. |
should be in 1.3.4cvs. I've tested to rewrite it into QTable. It was 12x-13x slowet than with the QListView... So it's done by and ugly hack: 1) I paint QListBox (checked/unchecked) into 2 QPixmaps 2) I use these pixmaps instead of these "sexy" icons. 3) Test it. And it's on you ;) |
a) Why use any pixmaps, just use checkboxes? b) Need the table lines c) Embed in: shows PostScript for all items, why do we need to say that? Can we not just have Embed in PostScript as the title? |
ad pixmaps: QTable is horribly slow. You cannot use 2 or more checkboxes in qlistview (without rewritting 1/2 of qt ;)). And it works with much less memory usage than with qtable with qchecktableitems. And it's easier to maintain propably too (remember my lazyness). BTW I had to wait to open Prefs on my fast laptop with only 147 fonts for 1/4 of minute instead of 1 second with this solution. ad postscript string - franz did some changes with it somewhere near 1.24.2.4. It's misunderstood propably. It should be fixed now. why table lines? eeergh, what are table lines exactly? border lines? It has "all column focus" now. |
The new highlight bar fixes c). Strange about the speed, the problem with pixmaps is we lose any theming a user might apply, but thats ok for now. Thanks for the fixes :) |
the chackbox pixmap is created on the fly with current user theme (painting the widget on pixmap). So when user is using plastik he'll get plastik's qcheckbox - and so on for keramik, cde, windows, foobar themes. See screenshots. |
