Summary0003794: can't select multiple items out of groups
DescriptionCtrl-Alt + Shift-click doesn't add an item in a group to the current selection (I was trying Ctrl-Alt-Shift-click to combine these two functions but it doesn't work.) So you can't select two individual items within a group without ungrouping it.

yes, you can't, but I'm not sure, why this should be a bug? Was it supposed to work this way?

mkoren, given the discussion in, among others, 3797, how did you expect this would work? ;)

Well, perhaps we should clarify how groups _are_ supposed to work, but at the moment the behavior seems inconsistent. I had supposed the paradigm to be that any arbitrary set of (individual) objects could be placed into a group, and groups could overlap arbitrarily. (Based on the fact that they _can_ overlap on at least _one_ object as it is, see 0003796.)

If you can select/group one item within a group, I don't see why not more.

I think this is a useful feature, but to be honest I think it needs more thought overall. Refer to difficulties accessing overlapping groups in 3796.
