Summary | 0005542: Replacing image does not preserve Image Scaling settings
Description | Use examples: when linking to new/renamed image or creating image frames within a coherent group (eg group of screenshots). The settings are not preserved (Image Scaling, but also Xpos and Ypos), which adds considerable time as they need to be readjusted. Workaround involves taking manual note of the settings and putting them back. Feature would also be useful when a series of image frames need to apply the same settings: create 1, copy and paste, then change image link.
Steps To Reproduce | create image frame, set properties, then "get image"

can confirm for 1.3.3.9, 64bit linux on amd64. The same problem occurs after reassigning a source image for an image frame in the Picture Manager. Apparently, there is no distinction between reassigning an image source to a frame which already has an image source assigned to it, and defining the (initial) image source for a new image frame. |
|
I logged this in april last year and did not even remember I had... although a feature request, and therefore minor, except andreas adding a note it still exists in 1.3.3.9, nothing at all has been done about it. In fact, when replacing images that have been disconnected, the severity is much more severe as taking a screenshot of the values and inputing the values manually is really time consuming. |
