Summary | 0005976: Ability to specify page/column breaks in paragraph styles
Description | When typesetting large text documents, one of the important features to have is the ability to specify page/column breaks for a specific style (headings usually), so that chapters always begin on a new page. At the moment, this has to be done completely manually in Scribus, with the Insert pagebreak option, which is unnecessarily tedious and prone to errors. I would like to be able to specify flow control parameters for paragraph styles to automatically insert a page/column break before/after a given paragraph and/or paragraph style. Ideally, it should also be possible to specify that the paragraph must be placed on an even/odd numbered page by inserting multiple page/column breaks, as appropriate (sometimes a heading must be placed on a right page, even if it means leaving the previous left page empty). / Tomas

I could have sworn that there was a similar feature request already, but I didn't find it. At least I'm sure this has been discussed at length. Acknowledging as it's n the roadmap for 1.3.7. |
