Summary | 0006782: TIFF Recalculation Impurity
Description | Recalculation of a Tiff image during PDF export creates an impurity at the right end of the image. This is only if the frame height does limit the picture size and it depends on the height of the frame.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Open a new document 2. Create a picture frame and make it's size w=60.0 mm h=25.4 mm 3. Load RO400FC.tiff (see attachement) 4. Set the image properties to "fit to frame" (An Rahmen anpassen) and select "Proportional" 5. Export a PDF with following setting: Re-Caclulate Images to (Bilder neu berechnen auf): 150 dpi --> The resulting PDF shows a pixel line at the right end of the picture 6. Set the picture frame size to w=60 mm, h=25.569 and repeat step 4 and 5 --> The resulting PDF is perfect
Additional Information | Above is only happening if the frame height does limit the picture size. If the picture is limitted by the width of the frame (e.g. frame size w=40mm, h=60mm for the RO400FC.tiff), then the problem does not show up. I have tested with PDF Compatibility 1.4 and 1.5 and output colours for printer or screen: No influence to the results. I am using Ghostscript-Version 8.53 if it's got anything to do with it.

Correction: Other images such as the attached SP003-ML-V-4.tiff behave different: the impurity shows up when the frame width is limitting. Try image frame h=50.8, w=50.800 (shows error) and 50.969 (perfect result) to reproduce. |

Duplicate of 0007101 which we can't reproduce here. Seems to be a problem related to some qt versions, see notes attached to 0007101. Works ok here with qt 3.3.8 |
