Summary | 0009035: Mouse poiner shapes in "Panning", "Select item" and "Edit contens" modes
Description | Now we have one pointer shape (opened hand) for 3 tool modes: workspace paning, contnent panning and frame moving. One shape for any kind of panning is reasonable, but frame moving should have other pointer shape (ie crossed arrows). Maybe we should go further and give different pointer shapes to "Select item" and "Edit contens" modes (ie standart arrow with text cursor and standar arrow with crossed arrows).

Additional note. While working with lines cursor shapes are quite confusingly similar (especially for one with weak eyes): opened hand for moving entire line and grab-hand for resize points. So, there is one more argument for changing "move object" cursor shape. |
|
One more thing to improve: Mouse pointer moved over locked frame should change its shape (to something like lock icon). This would be helpful hint, more obvious than missing resize points of locked frame. I suggest to rename topic to smth like "Mouse pointer shapes in different modes" and make here total revision of subj. |
|
Another pointer shape bug: when switching to "rotate frame" mode pointer stays in "select item" shape until moved over selected frame; after moving over it pointer changes to "rotate" shape. If mouse button released outside selected frame after rotating it, pointer turns back to "select item" shape (even in sticky mode). While in "rotate frame" mode pointer changes to "resize" shape when moved on resize points, but resizing is impossible. |

This one is certainly in the top 20 if not even higher. Is it difficult to solve? I mean, lots of time? Lots of code? Lots of unwanted side effects? |
