Product Version | 1.5.0svn
Target Version | 1.5.0 | ||||
Summary | 0009047: Make colour changes unavailable if multiple items are selected or grouped
Description | In 1.5svn it's possible to change the colour/gradient/pattern of multiple selected or grouped items. This shouldn't be possible (1.3.7svn does it correctly), because it's easy to inadvertently change the fill of all items.

i may agree for the grouped item (even if i think i have already tried to set the color of grouped elements...), but not for multiple elements: i should be able to change in one shot the bgcolor of 6 shapes! and for the unwanted changes, there should be a nice undo... well: there is actually a nice undo! |
DISAGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO NO NO |
I need editing of grouped objects too. I need option edit all grouped objects in any way (some are missing now). |
I have to agree with ale on this one. I hate click, change color, click again, hunt down correct tab in PP, change color, click, etc. routine. It's just stupid. Reliable undo is sufficient. Why this bothers me: I had to change stroke width of about 40 objects of different kind. It took me hours to figure out which one I've missed, where did I stop last time, which one are set incorrectly (I did some mistakes in the process too)... It's stupid. |
There is other way how to do it more effective now: - Click on the group, open PP (colors are inactive), ungroup (all items are selected... colors are active), change color, group. - If you select more that one object without grouping, for get colors active is necessary to group. But although this solution is not so bad I would like to have the native one too. |
agree with ale, but solution would be to have frame styles so that the problem would mainly be solved |
well, i want to be able to select two frames and set the background color for both as transparent... and frame styles would be very welcome, yes :-) |
No point keeping this open longer, you should be able to select any number of items and change their common properties. |
