Summary | 0009738: Feature Request - ability to create editable/saveable forms.
Description | I need to create pdf forms - which Scribus does beautifully, but need the ability to be able to save, and then continue editing/adding data at later date. Adobe InDesign does it, but want to keep using Scribus on my Ubuntu platform.
Steps To Reproduce | Create text form, export, open pdf document, enter data, and try to save, and then reopen with data you entered.

if you tell us how to do it, i guess that the team will be very pleased to implement it! it does not need any programming skills for now, just some research: documentation, specification, ... but, afaik, adobe does not want third party application (most of all free ones) to be able to store data in a pdf form. but i welcome you to prove me wrong! |

This feature is sadly "Adobe only" as it requires certain settings in the PDF that are not public. Adobe saves these PDF's with a special key which enables the "Save" feature, but the key is a secret of Adobe. |
