Summary0016959: Printing to canon selphy always prints black page
DescriptionI have a canon selphy CP1300.
When i print to it, it always prints a full black page.
If I export to pdf then print using the default KDE application (Okular) then it prints fine.
It would be nice to have an option to print the PDF file instead of using a temp.ps file.
Steps To ReproduceSetup canon selphy printer
print anything

It is already possible to do so: in 1.5.8, in the combobox where the "PostScript Level 1", "PostScript Level 2" and "PostScript Level 3" items can be seen, there is also a "PDF" item. If "PDF" is selected, then Scribus will send a PDF to the printer.

I've tried the pdf setting, still no luck.
I found a similar big where the solution was to use the lpr command. So I'll give that a go next.

I cant seem to get the lpr command working. The older bug is here:
https://bugs.scribus.net/view.php?id=6330

Ive tried the following printer command:
lpr -d Canon_SELPHY_CP1300

ok lpr on its own half works. But the print comes out messed up. Only work around is to export to pdf, then print

So it's possible that your print system does not support the CMYK PDF generated by Scribus.

I think thats it! When i save the pdf out manually, I have to ensure its set to RGB or I get similar issues with the printer. Im sure cmyk is not supported correctly.

Is there a way to force RGB in the scribus print settings?

No, scribus does not currently support RGB printing.
