| Description | I would like to export PDFs with scannable text (ie. not saved as an image) but Scribus is not allowing me to embed fonts. Can someone please provide the steps to fix the problem or a workaround? Thanks | ||||

Duplicate of issue 0012788. Look at this issue for some suggestions. Noticeably look at File > Preferences > Fonts and uncheck the "subset" option for the fonts you absolutely want to embed. This has some limitations tho: - this option must not be unchecked for OpenType fonts: OpenType fonts *cannot* be embedded in PDF formats Scribus support - this may increase the output PDF file size - some fonts will still not be embedded because since Windows 8, quite a few Windows provided fonts miss the table providing PostScript glyph names Also for your information, this kind of question should generally be asked on the forums at forums.scribus.net.
