|Platform||i386 Win32||OS||Windows||OS Version||XP SP2|
|Summary||0004270: Color management applied before, not after, image effects|
|Description||See attached screenshot and original image. The gamut checker is clearly being applied before the image effects:|
- The gamut warning colour is affected by the image effects
- The gamut warning regions do not change when image effects are applied
The screenshot was generated with default colour management settings.
Additionally, images with an image effect applied carry the gamut warning into the PDF output (exported from the document that screenshot was taken from). Note that the bottom image, with the image effects, has the gamut warning colour in the final output.
|Steps To Reproduce||Enable colour management|
Import an image, duplicate it.
On one copy, apply a few image effects.
Note change in gamut warning colour on modified image, lack of change in gamut warning region.

||Can you retest in 18.104.22.168 or 22.214.171.124svn, please? There have been lots of bugfixes in colour management since 126.96.36.199.|
||This one won't be fixed before 1.3.6|
It's still there in 1.4.2
I was hoping to use Effects to avoid out of gamut zones, and having the zones updated depending on the effects applied would make that much easier.
||Is this still an issue ?|
||Yes, it still is.|
||Issue still persists in 1.5.1svn r20875|

I get this only when simulating printer on the screen in the color management.
Disabling resolves the problem.
(When exporting the correct colors are in the image or pdf.)
jghali on IRC:
this is an issue related to printer simulation on screen or rather which is mostly visible when printer simulation is enabled
||This is still an issue in 1.5.8. I found that image effects is applied to the gamut warning color (uploaded images show an example for modified brightness with image after effects - before and after).|
