|Summary||0003822: Stroke of letters overlap the inside of the letters themselves.|
|Description||Default behavior for "outline" in the font dialog etches the outline of the font with a selectable thickness. This stroke can fill the inside of the letter.|
I would like to be able to have the "outline" below the actual letter so that the inside of the letter is not changed.
I can think of two ways of doing this:
- Option 1: being able to select (option) whether the outline is drawn over the letter or below it.
- Option 2: Having more control over the shadow effect. Specially being able to have the shadow outlined but not the text casting the shadow. And being able to choose the color of the outline for the shadow (or make it the same color as the shadow).
|Steps To Reproduce||Create a text box.|
Enter some text. Go to font properties, select outline with a different color, and thickness of the outline 20%.
The inside of the letter can not be seen, since the outline overlaps it.
|Additional Information||See sample of the intended behavior at: http://www.edgeent.com/anima/es/pdf/Complemento_Web_Anima_Vol_1.pdf|
See the titles "Complemento Web" are surounded by white.
Workaround: I have reproduced this effect in Scribus by duplicating a textframe (with the text inside) an placing one on top of the other. I use outline mode on the lower one. However, this *only* works well with whole textframes. If I want to do this for a single paragraph in a big text frame, I won't be able to align it well (or would have to duplicate the entire big text frame whis seems like overkill).
